The Tesla Model S has a total Range of 300 miles with the 85kWh battery. The Model S is a 5 seat premium luxury electric sedan
available from Tesla Motors for anywhere around $60,000-$105,000. Now this isn't Tesla's only vehicle though. Tesla has a lineup of 3 vehicles so far.
They are (in order by release date)

  1. Tesla Roadster(2008)
  2. Tesla Model S(2012)
  3. Tesla Model X(2014)

Competitors

A lot of the competitors to the Model S that our on sale now beat the Model S in Price costing only about $15,000-$30,000 but the Model S beats them in performance,
range, looks, quality, cargo space. The competitors usually can only go about 100 miles on a single charge and a top speed of only about 80-90 mph compared to the Model S
with range of about 300 miles and the perfomance version with the 85kWh battery has a top speed of about 120 mph and 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.

The only competitors that I see for the Tesla Model S or even Tesla all together haven't even been released yet. Those competitors are
Electric Cars-
  • Cars that run on Lithium-ion, rechargable batteries.

  • Range Anxiety-
  • The fear of having an electric vehicle and not having enough battery range and running out of battery.

  • "Glamorous, quick and smooth, the 2012 Tesla Model S brings luxury and extended range capability to the electric-car segment."- Edmunds.com
