"The arrow is an extension of your soul."
The best way to get ahold of a bow is to go to a few stores and ask where
they would recommend to get a custom fit bow. When you buy one keep in
mind that if you're just starting you'll want to get a smaller pound draw. That
means when you pull back the bow that you want it to be able to come back
to your chin.
When you've picked one out make sure to try it out before you buy it. But never
let go of the string if there is no arrow attached; it can cause the bow to shatter.
All the energy's got to go somewhere, right?
Once you've finally found a bow thats right for you, the most important thing you
can do to be great is to practice, practice, practice. Especially with a recurve.
Where as a compound is easier and more accurate it also requires less skill to use,
and is often recommended for a first time shooter.
